As part of the changes, the N is going Local in Manhattan and the Q is going to run to Astoria. So, during most hours, Astoria, your service will actually run more often - one of the strange paradoxes of MTA service cuts.
As for those of you who head uptown from the 2nd Avenue stop on the F/V - well, you’re screwed. The V is being rerouted and will stop at Broadway/Lafayette and Essex Street (on the J) in Lower Manhattan. So you’ll have to cram yourselves onto an F train that just got in from Brooklyn.
But if the Q runs to Queens, what about the Second Avenue Subway?!!? That Q extension up the UES was like the best part of it.
The Q to Queens? It makes such alphabetical sense, why didn’t someone think of it before?
